Security Questions
Security, always an important part of network
administration, has gained much publicity in the last few years, as
network attacks have become more prevalent and more publicized. The
important thing to look for when interviewing a Web Designer
candidate is their attitude towards security. Practical knowledge is
important, of course, but the truly high level Web Designer
understands that security is a process, not a product. Security must
permeate everything that happens on the network, from adding and
removing hosts to troubleshooting routing problems. Only by placing
security as the number one priority will the Web Designer be able to
ensure the reliability and availability of the web site.
Specifically, their response to question 11 will give great insights
into what role security plays in their mind.
