Oracle Tips by Burleson |
Site
Specific Tasks
Anyone going through HTML DB has probably noticed
the task list that appears on the right side of the development
pages. The task list provides additional help to the developer during
development. An example of a task list appears on the Application
Builder page and is shown in Figure 15.8.
In the Site Specific Tasks, a list of
site-specific links can be created. By specification, these links can
appear on the Workspace Login or Home page. It is also possible to
manage whether or not the link appears on the list. Figure 15.9 shows
the entry screen. The example is adding a link to Oracle’s HTML DB
Studio website which can be a great resource for the developer.
1.
Click on the Manage Site Specific Tasks
2.
Fill in the Site Specific Tasks list with the information
-
Display Sequence to order where the
link will be placed.
-
Specify the Display Location, Workspace
Login or Workspace home page.
-
Enter the Task Name which will appear
on the list.
-
Enter the link to the site. This can
be a external or internal link using the f?p notation.
-
Specify if the link is Displayed or
not.
3.
Click on Apply Changes.
On the Workspace Login or Home page, a new list of
links for the developer will appear. If the links are removed, where
there is no link in the list, the list will not appear. Figure 15.10
shows the new Workspace Login page with the new task list. Figure
15.11 displays the entry in the administrators’ page.
